Bica handles sensitive financial data, so security isn't an afterthought — it's built into every part of how the app works.

Bank connections

Bica connects to your bank through regulated Open Banking (PSD2) providers. You authenticate directly with your bank — Bica never sees, receives, or stores your bank login credentials. Access is read-only: we can see your balances and transactions, but we can never move money or make payments on your behalf.

Encryption

All connections to Bica use 256-bit TLS encryption in transit. Sensitive data, including anything tied to your bank connections, is encrypted at rest before it's stored.

Data ownership

Your data is yours. Bica never sells, shares, or monetizes your personal or financial data. You can delete your account at any time, which permanently removes your transactions, connections, and account information from our systems.
